... He pointed to tents a distance away and said that he and his family live there. He has 6 children, 2 girls and 4 boys. He had things to sell. I bought something to thank him for his help, photo and conversation. The sunrise was not spectacular, but is was beautiful. I really did enjoy it. Then I went to our dining tent for coffee. I have learned to ask for nous nous with chocolate. Half milk, half coffee with a teaspoon of cocoa. Just what ...

... it didn't hide the fact that it was a bout 150 degrees inside. (if you have been reading my blog you know we have very specific air conditioning needs, but we were willing to give up our "meat locker cold" for the experience. We met a young couple, she was from Pittsburgh, and he was from Italy and we spent the evening chatting and eating our desert dinner, which was rather tasty. Lentils, vegetables, and rice along with a tagine of beef (camel) and peas, and ...

... including Bollywood!) and laughing at Darren's antics and attempted sing-a-longs... But! Our taxi broke down five times, and it couldn't even make it all the way up the hill viewpoint when we finally reached the Dadès Gorge. At least we got to see it somewhat, but it was a bit underwhelming compared to the ride there - maybe it's better from the top.

On our last unexpected stop, our driver ran out of gasoline, and had to run one kilometre ...
