      ... palm trees, roses and apparently Charlotte tells us there is a tame crane, but we never see it. The property which is quite extensive was a nursery until Charlottes husband passed away five years ago. There are 2 gites and the main residence. Charlotte is absolutely delightful and so helpful. She gives us impromptu lessons in French.

      After walking back into town in Montreuil Bellay to buy breakfast and visit the tourist office again for wifi, we went south to Saumur, where we'd stayed 10 years ago. It didn't look very familiar. The Aire was too far away and charged now so we drove back towards town and walked in along the river to the centre. It was market day and very busy.
