Well I think I will let the pictures from today tell the story. We left Valencia, making our way towards Barcelona and stopped for a couple of hours at the pretty seaside holiday town of Peniscola, complete with it's castle. We walked to the top where we enjoyed the views of the sea and town. Then had a lovely stroll back down the hill looking at ...

... moscatel with our desserts. By the end of all this, we had an hour to kill before the Museum of Contemporary Art reopened, so found a shady bench outside the church. I never cease to be amazed at the serious way that this siesta time is taken in this day and age when people are clambering to make a living, but then it's only mad dogs and Englishmen...!! Now we have said that with so much of Europe available to us we would ...

... walking through the streets at 22:00 hardly a sound.
I'm fascinated by the fact that time has stood still in these places while every Irish village and town has been ravaged by modernity (and maybe back again!) these places seem timeless, Mary and I had our honeymoon in Greece in 1981 and I can picture every street in Paros/Ios and even Santorini. Good night because I'l be up at 7.

Went to the beach to sort out lunch. All you mariners that think the mediterranean is a pond don't be fooled by that image. The sea wall outside the port is 9 Metres high.......and that must be for a reason. Judge by one of the pictures! Going up the hills slightly to a free spot tonight as I like the smaller ...
