... gorge. So buggy that I didn't hang around & luckily got a ride back up the hill first try. Had intended to get up for the 5.20am session today, but as I had slept badly the previous 3 nights, turned over & went back to sleep - will try again manańa! Got in my exercise with a walk to the viewpoint on the top of Cerro de los Serpientes - had some company in the form of a big black hairy dog from the Ashram called Aries - he pretty ...
Coatepec, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico ccchrissie... m going to keep surfing and possibly host some day. I was hosted by a girl and her family and they accepted me like family. They only let people stay for a day so she said I could stay at her friends house the next day. Her friends house was nice and it had a pool. They ended up taking me out on the town and we had a good time.
xalapa, Mexico flitterjahrWritten from Jalcomulco, Mexico: A phone call was just received directly from Jordan at 19:35 our time. Joel is awake and recognizes his brother as well as other friends and family. He has little memory of the incident but is making jokes and talking about kayaking. One lung continues to labour but the doctors plan to take him out of the ICU tomorrow. The family will be sending us further updates as they come along.
Jalcomulco, Mexico smartmishmash... sedated he has fine motor skills which indicate brain function.... but it is too early to tell exactly where that stands until he is free of sedation. This morning Joel was taken off the respirator and was breathing on his own with a non-rebreather mask. He was briefly taken off the sedation where he proved his ability to move and how strong he currently is. He was then sedated again for transport from Xalapa to the airport in Veracruz where he was met by a ...
Jalcomulco, Mexico smartmishmash... first day on the Barranca Grande went well. We made good time down the technical, high consequence top section and arrived at the camp in good time even after trying to remove a strainer from the river. The evening went well and we left in good time the next morning.
The next day we scouted and ran Class A Cinco, the first of the "Four Fours", double guiding each raft and also providing good ...
... we would be ready for anything. Here is Pavlo getting ready: . Well I got to say Pablo and I sure got our 6$ worth of bull fighting. We saw about 5 bulls, and although they all eventually lost, the first few heard me chearing for them and took down the fist couple matedors, the one in these pictures more than once, he eventually had to limp off, with a giant hole in his pants after one of the bulls got a ...

Pablo was the first to reach the stopped Raul and I and as he approached all I could hear was a long line of obsenities as well as him screaming for me to get the F out of his way ...
Jalapa, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast, Mexico microfingers... group keeps fluctuating with its attendance so I ended up giving a ball to the high school guy's soccer team to raffle. We went to every single business in town including the Flor de Café and the Mayor to ask for money for uniforms and transportation money. I was very impressed with the amount of money we got from all the pulperias... something like a little over $500 cords ($30) - our goal was $2000 cords. I them helped the team write up two letters for Flor de Café and the ...
Jalapa, Nicaragua carrienica05... it is www.delaniebla.com or try google). The hostel is actually really nice, I think it is almost new, and the rooms only cost $13 a night. I got settled into my bunk and decided to go to dinner at this place I saw during my long walk. It was called Baquettes and Vino. The food was excellent. I ordered a salami baguette with a glass of wine. The baguette was toasted with cheese. It was so good. The owner is really nice also. He speaks quite a bit of english because he ...
