... went for a walk around the city. It is very pretty- set around a lake. Ruby took us to Janak arts where they gave us a demonstration of miniature painting. Afterwards they painted some Indian motifs on our nails- mine was an elephant. We then had lunch by the lake. It was really warm and I got a bit of sunburn. Frances and I took the overnight train up to Udaipur, which was a memorable experience. Passengers can freely open the doors and stand on the runners, watching village upon village roll by..
