... we are it for English first language speakers for miles around. It is quite rural and lovely. And very tropical in appearance. We left Sorrento about 10:20 am this morning in our rental car with Larry as the sole driver for the next week. We are now committed to drinking the extra €160 it would have been for the second driver, Gary, in Sicilian wine. So Gary and his GPS are responsible for delivering us somewhere close to our various destinations. It ...
So, we have not had any wifi access since leaving Amalfi on Thursday! I'm typing this on a tiny Samsung, so please forgive any typing or formatting errors. We left the wonderful Settebello Hotel and the family that run it at 10am on Thursday to set off for Sicily. We planned to head to the mountains in front of our accommodation after a walk around town to find Aunty Lisa's house. We followed our google map up very narrow, steep streets ...
Our next stop was a B&B at Le Canella Constrada Fratte II. Google maps said 4hrs 54mins and they weren't wrong. We lost some time trying to get on the right road then our journey took us through all the towns along the coast. It was like the Pacific highway 20 years ago. The seaside towns weren't as we imagined. They were very ancient and everyone has a siesta at 1pm. When we arrived near Le Canella we took a wrong turn which we thought was right and headed up into the hills. ...
