Well what a beautiful day, it is the 3rd day of our adventure but the 1st full day at our destination. We prepare to start our day with breakfast in our room. Gator went on a 23 day, 2,850 mile adventure from Boston to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. What a trip!!!! The host family are the Grandparents of Andrew A., John and Leslie Hassan. They sent back a large detailed journal filled with wonderful brochures, pictures, and shells. Thank you so much for taking Gator with you and all your hard work, the Greenmont Avenue students really enjoyed it!
How do you pass a final day in Myrtle beach:
1- You rise early so not to miss any time of the day.
2- You stretch so your body will be fine for the last beach walks.
3- You have a pancake breakfast so you have the fuel necessary for the morning.
4- You start on foot for the beach at the same time someone starts on her bike. Not fair.
5- You go in the water (a bit)(ankles) because the water is still only at 60 f. (convert it ...
... of flowers in bloom). It took a good part of the day to visit this place and very much worth the trip.
We move on to Charleston. Find a parking garage closer to the historic area (compared to last year where we walked forever)(it only cost $8). We visit the Market (artisans and basketweavers). No buying for us. Then we end up on East Bay street at the south east of town. We stop at the park close to the cruise port (no ship this year), swing a bit on the big ...

Under sunshine (again!) we head up to the beach. But wait I do not have my hat. have to go back to get it. (would not want to displace my head of hair).
