... you get invited over for dinner and the slide show- forced to sit there and ooh and ah for all the hours of video footage I have here. Yes technology has made our life better folks! Now you can watch or not watch at your own leisure and also not have to sit through the angry exclamations of your host as he/she struggles with the projection screen that just will not go up right!

... swim but the sea was freezing so he didn't stay in long! We also had a sangria demonstration ;). Thursday was a quiet day and Friday morning we went for a horse ride at a surprisingly nice place. Mike even rode in an English saddle like a champ! ... we made a day of walking through the city and wound our way back to the dock. I took tons of pictures to show you how beautiful this city is but all with cell phone. Hard to believe I walked off ship without my camera!

Most of the people we encountered spoke English but I really felt at a disadvantage not speaking Spanish. I don't know if we'll get back here to The Canaries, but it was a great experience to see the two islands we did. ...

... I enjoyed ham salad, sandwiches, crisps and several glasses of wine, as we wouldn’t be getting a meal on the plane (budget airline and all that).

Eventually our flight was called and we made our way to Gate 9 to board. The aircraft was around half an hour late taking off, then we were airborne and on our way back to Blighty. At least it was only a four-hour flight this time, and not 14 hours the way it was last January ...
