      ... border days! We had assumed that Singapore would be a 24/7 city with government offices working at least 6 days a week. Wrong. An office crucial to the car's paperwork ( it is often more difficult for cars to cross borders than people ) does not work Saturdays and we therefore have had to bring forward our arrival by one day. Somewhere else we have had to cut short our stay.
