A beautiful sunny morning greets us as we get our wake up call at 5.30 am. Showered, dressed, & breakfast & down to our coach for a 7.15am departure for our main stop on route to Zurich -Neuschwanstein castle. Lovely scenery on route with the Bavarian Alps in the backdrop. Arrived at the castle 9.15am. It was a little walk to the entrance but picturesque none the less. ...

For example, there were many biblical paintings from shortly before the Reformation, presumably since the Catholic Church was still the main religious authority at the time, which condones lavish Biblical paintings. ... checking out different restaurants, bars and markets. We needed a refreshment after a while so we decided to get an ice cream and watch the world go by. Unfortunately for us, we picked the wrong spot as a 50+(plump, if you will) year old lady was sun baking and fishing in a g-string bikini. Needing to leave, we gobbled down our snack diverting our line of sight and walked to the nearest train station to go back to Vevey. For dinner it was a simple kebab and then ...

With a mix of sadness and joy, we said au revoir to Paris yesterday and had our final croissant and café. The best part about the train journey to Switzerland was watching the changing landscape as we passed through eastern France. Every now and then, the countryside was dotted romantically with little villages. We knew we were in for a treat when we started to see the mountains emerge in the distance. The way to our hostel (called ...
