... began. After about 35 minutes, the show ended. It was good, but not as good as Sea World's show we watched this summer. After the show, we took off for the Field Museum. The trip to the Field Museum was short because it's less than 100 yards away from the Shedd Aquarium. We had no line getting in and definitely not as many people in the building. The tomb is quite impressive, but wasn't actually constructed till about 10 years after Lincoln's death. I guess the yanks must have been somewhat fond of the old guy!

When I arrived at Chicago, I parked at Soldiers Field (near the Field Museum, which I will visit in the next couple of days) and hoofed it north through Grant Park to the Art Institute ... ...

Chicago: did it burn in vain? You decide.

... back on. I felt like sarcastically clapping in his face. So anyway, I was picked up by my cousins wife's mum (a bit confusing but hopefully you get it...the wife is a Chicagoan), gerri who was so lovely and had offered me a place to stay at her house for a few weeks! How excited was I; I was presented with an amazing double water bed, I didn't have to lock up my stuff and had access to Netflix; what more could I want? Such a nice family, I felt welcome from the minute ...
