We arrived 4 hours+ late to Denver. Again no real apology from AMTRAK- Maggie has a saying of the Americans that they use "Aggressive politeness" and this has sooo become our byword for what you get in these circumstances. Statement of fact in cartoon rigid speech which allows no reply or questioning - very polite but no explanation or the sorry word.
It actually suited us as we were supposed to be there at 0600 and managed to sleep till 0800.
The next evening we headed out again, this time to an American baseball game! The Rockies were taking on the Reds, go the Rockies! They lost. But it was a cool experience, the tickets we got were only $5 dollars each and due to the type of game base ball is and how often the games are (5 times a week sometimes) it is a cool place to just chill out with friends, eat a hot dog and some peanuts after work (if you work that is).
