Dubai doesn't sleep

A travel blog entry by chinaski on Oct 23, 2014

Long, long journey from Spain to Australia. Departing on October 23th, arriving on October 25th...

23 hours in the air. 2 stops. Total of 32 hours travelling.

But it worth it!

Australia is far from everywhere. There, alone in the middle of nowhere, down under... it's waiting for me and I'm gonna enjoy it!

Got to stay 8 hours at Dubai, and althought it was from 1 am to 9 am everything was open, alive and ...

We had such a lovely last day in Auckland with the wonderful Waite family :) After packing our ...

This definitely ruined my plans for the rest of the day. The main reason I didn't book a flight out of there that afternoon was so I could see the Burj Kalifa view at night. By the time I found out my evening plans I had envisioned were not happening, it was too late to catch any earlier flight out of Dubai. I walked around ...

The journey home.

This entry will, by all time pieces, seem to take several days. That is because we are flying into the sun. I left my hotel at 10 am and went straight to the airport. I know that seems silly but there was nothing in Rome I felt I particularly wanted to see, that could be seen before I needed to leave. I would also have my bags with me which would make movement over the cobblestones well nigh impossible When I got there I was told I could not leave my bags in the check in area ...
