... die zu einem lächerlich günstigen Preis über den Dubai Creek fahren. Was eigentlich pragmatisch gedacht war, entpuppte sich als Touristenattraktion. Wir schnappen uns also ein Taxi um zum Hafen zu fahren. Da wir noch nicht wissen wie das ganze abläuft stellen wir uns erstmal daneben um zu gucken wie die ersten abfahren, aber keine Chance, man wird sofort von einem Araber auf eins der Boote zitiert. Wir gehorchen, aber brauchen wir keine Tickets? ...

Is it as you get older the flights to Europe seem longer and longer. 2/3 the way there and we are now stopping overnight in Dubai. We have all only had a couple of hours sleep in cattle class. ... Tussen de gebouwen in is er een soort van lagune gemaakt en het fijne is dat er binnen IBM geen coffee-bar is (enkel zone pot Nescafe) en dat we dus wel naar buiten moeten.
