... I did a pretty good job of. It was tempting just to sleep once I saw my beautiful hotel room at Raffles, but I quickly washed and pressed on. The only way to see it all is to do the hop on, hop off bus system. The flight from Cairns to Brisbane was very delayed - we landed with 35 minutes before the next flight and were given taxi vouchers to get us to the International terminal. ... the tendency to take thing literally and look for the second door.
Same pictures at customs, same waiting in line as on an American Airport, but something was totally wrong with the picture. Arabs in white dresses (I know, they have a name) were taking the pictures.
Outside Jim was waiting for me. The view was weird. Even the cabs looks American. The street plan here, the airport, all after American model. So that made me feel at home.
