... was set up with chicken, lamb, bright orange saffron rice, pickled veggies and homemade desserts. I ate some of everything, it was all delicious and oh so filling. We were all fat and happy, giggling between bites and holding our bellies in discomfort while reaching in to try the next thing. Ha. Everyone was ready for nap time afterwards but we drank some hot tea and managed to successfully finish out the day.

... the city. It was a lot further than it looked on the map and we passed along the river/creek where all the working Dhows were moored. We couldn't believe the number of cardboard boxes stacked on the docks ready to be loaded. A real working area. The gold Souk was a real experience. As you walked through you were approached at every shop by someone trying to get you in to buy either a watch, gold jewellry or T- shirts. Couldn't quite work out where they fitted ...

... immediately ushered into a side room and given tea and pastries. The whole exhibit is very well done - inside the lift there's a projection that makes you feel like your travelling up all the tallest buildings in the world, so after a couple of seconds we've gone the height of big ben, then Tour Eiffel, CN tour, and so on until we reached the magic of floor 148 which is miles above anything else. ... were driving. Stephen was in the process of moving stuff from his mums place to his new flat. ... on our tour was the Dubai Mall. Of course the Dubai Mall is not the biggest in the world, to see that you must travel to Minnesota but our guide was quick to recover and told us that the Dubai Mall held a record that was arguably more important, it is the Most Visited mall in the world.
