Today we went to Emirates mall for even more shopping then we were off to the Marina to get on a 50ft launch that my Aunty and uncle had hired for a few hours.

Shaun didn't actually know about the boat we had told him we were going for a "picnic" and that there would be a sunset. So he was definitely pleased when he saw it was a boat.

Once on the boat we went out into the sea past the Burj al Arab. ...

Our first visit to Dubai has been perfect. We wanted a stopover to relax and break up the journey and that has worked exactly to plan. Our hotel is out of the way from the city, glitz and buzz (of which there seems to be plenty!) but that's just fine as far as we are concerned.
