... a trip around the manmade Palm Island, circling the Burj Al Arab and a dip in the very warm and salty Arabian Sea. The cruise finished with a stop by Sheikh Mohammed's massive yacht that is anchored next to his guest palace and his personal mandmade island. It was a hot trip, but we really liked it.
After the yacht ride, we came back to the hotel where we enjoyed our last few hours by the pool and packed our carry-ons once again.
So 7 1/2 hrs Melbourne -Dubai I figured I'd keep my back pack down under the seat in front so had access to my ipad and my patchwork to fill in the time. Not quite what happened as quilting come out at all as lights all out except when we were being fed and the over head was too bright for those sleeping so played on ipad. When I wanted to stretch my self out I couldn't due to bag in the way.... Bad mistake so for the next 7hr trip I got ipad out of the back pack and put bag ...
... Station - paid the equivalent A$3.50 rail fares and boarded the train after waiting about 4 minutes. Apparently the longest wait for a train is 7 minutes and the journeys are much faster and cheaper than Taxis.
The train was immaculate and it was a pleasure being there. We also could see much more of the countryside as we traveled along. Three stations and about 12 minutes later we were at the Emirate Mall and what a fantastic mall it is.
