Legend has it the village started in 4AD by freed slaves under the feudal system n named their village ugly fugly to discourage other visitors! There s a lovely market in the centre if village filled with handicrafts, crochet, felt etc. A very relaxed and laid back atmosphere with genuinely nice villagers. Bath time
... became USD instead of Euro. So a garment marked at Є1,000 would cost us USD500. Off we all went to the showroom. Three of us purchased jackets including the 2 of us! Every time we come to Kusadasi we seem to make a significant purchase – last time a rug this time leather jackets. Must be something in the water. They are on their way home now.

Day 14 /Aegean Classic Cruise): Kusadas& Patmos
... of Apocypse, saw the windmills of Chora (thought the Myknonos windmills were prettier!) and then wandered through the admittedly pretty town of Scala. That afternoon, we had a cocktail evening and I think I drank at least 8 cocktails in the first 4 hours, but wasn't really even tipsy .... I think there is more fruit juice than actual alcohol content in these drinks :( Ended up feeling a little sick to be honest (too much sugar) and so was into bed by 1am. xoxo ...
