Out of bed at 9.30am (the lie-in was amazing, who thought I would call 9.30am a lie-in). Did my theory for the navigation and peak buoyancy dives. Then Angelos and I went out for a quick brekkie on the beach before heading to Playa Scuba for our 2 adventure dives, Navigation and Peak Buoyancy. Cannot wait to see how the guys fared this morning on their confined water dives.

We got there at 12.30pm but the guys weren't back yet and they were so disorganised and ...

... our last dive guide did it I had googled them and found that they were: "highly aggressive, eat other bull sharks and employ the 'bump & grab' technique". So I was like naaaah... They said 3 ppl hadn't shown up yet and we could join and if we did then, they would waive the gear hire price. The last whale shark was bigger as ...

... because of the beautiful swim throughs, but also the turtles, the brilliant fish and my calm, serene CLUNK! Oh that was just tony descending on top of me-thoughts. Stay away from that boy. Pics when tony can convert video to pics, which by then nobody will care about this amazing blog. Second dive was Colombia shallows-amazing floating on reef and below-and because max depth was 32-I got to pee every thirty seconds. Which just happens when your diving apparently, not that ...

Off at 0647, some luggage inside. Some grumblings about the size of the vehicle. This is an Intrepid Basix trip, people, so get with the program. You get what you pay for.

Our Chichen Itza guide prattled on for about 40M on our departure. I think most people would have wanted a bit more quiet time. At least a third with airline pillows, Roddy. What wimps!

We bombed along, low lying clouds a worry. At least two thirds of the people were asleep. At 0751, ...
