... do last year. Unfortunately this only took me up to about 10:40 and I still had over 7 hours to waste! I went back to my room to update my journal and ponder what I want from my ceremony, like that shaman requested. That took about another hour and then I got bored and went out to explore. I walked around randomly and accidentally walked past millions of places that reminded me of last year - the hotel (with its free coca tea just inside the door), Baghdad Cafe, that ...
Cusco, Peru bt82... They have an amazing history with the Incas and the Spanish conquerors and one of the places to see where the two cultures joined is at the Church of Santo Domingo which was built by the Spaniards on the site of the greatest Incan Sun Temple. You can still see the foundation that was built by the Incas between 1439 and 1532. The stone masonry is amazing! The Cathedral on top is pretty cool too, and it has a painting of the last supper with a ...

... the Sacred Valley of the Incas, we refuel and head out on the right road following the river through the valley floor, high mountains on either side. On through Urubamba until we reach Ollantaytambo.
Entering the town I pass a slow moving truck only to find the road turns to cobbles, large round pebbles not nice flat ones, and they water them to keep the dust down, just to help the grip.
With the fillings almost shaking out we wind ...

The first evening back at the Loki hostel, seeing it was a Monday, was Quiz night. The quiz master was this young English woman who had this very loud, large voice that boomed out the questions, articulating each question as clearly as she could. She sounded like as if she was auditioning for a Shakespearean play. I could still hear her from my dorm room. I thought she had an extremely annoying voice and was ...
... sure that no one was going to come in our direction when doing our business. After dinner, everyone went to sleep, each given a plastic bottle with hot water to heat up our sleeping bags as we slept.
On the second day we were woken up at 5:30. There was already light and as we went outside of our tents, we greeted to the most beautiful sight of high snow-covered mountains. The horses roamed free in the field underneath the mountains ...
