      Good but a bit noisy

The room was well fitted out, good location and had nice views of the Sky Tower and the harbour. The staff were helpful. However although we had a room on the 18th floor (we had asked for a quiet room) there was noise from the revellers and the police sirens until 3 and 4 am (we were there at the weekend). It was almost as if the windows were open, which they weren't we checked. Great shame because good otherwise.

Quiet, great service, friendly staff, very centrally located, very clean, close to coffee bars and brekkie spots, comfy beds. Bonus washer and dryer. Would highly recommend to others.

      Nice accommodations in central location

The room was perfect as a place for our transition from central standard time in the U.S. to that plus 19 hours. The view of the sky tower was great and the central location made it easy to walk to the pier. The people were very nice and were always very willing to help a foreigner.

Overall, nice place, beautiful view, but noisy

The apartment was quite nice; however, we did not think to check if it had air conditioning (something we are accustomed to.) By the end of our visit, I was ready to leave. It was extremely noisy at night, and we had to sleep with our windows open due to the heat. Please note that it was New Years weekend, so I'm sure the noise had a lot to do with the timing. The fold out couch was not a good place to sleep, and I would have preferred a queen bed to the twin beds we pushed together. Nice place for 4 people especially if you want to be close to all the action of Auckland.

Highly recommended, spacious, affordable, self-contained apartment accommodation just 2 minutes walk from the Skytower. A bit noisy on Fri / Sat nights but generally very good.

Finally arrived in New Zealand after a 10 plus hour flight on a A340, I mention this because it had the strangest seat belt with an air bag in the strap? Never seen one of those before.

Of course the temperature is a lot cooler than Hong Kong (30 plus) in fact less than half (13 deg C). We are staying at an Aparthotel, so we have a kitchen …

      Countdown to Leaving

I do know since it is March 15th that I am a bit remiss in finishing our New Zealand Adventure. I have been in Virginia cleaning out 47 years of my parents life from their house that we sold a week ago. It has been very bittersweet. The sweet being with my brother and his family in taking care of this rite of passage. The bitter needs no explana...
