No pictures today. The remote to Go Pro died. The ride was generally nice. Started off cool in Ct. and I had to add a couple of layers. I rode 427 Miles today and stopped for lunch. Winchester VA begins the fun part of the ride. Skyline Drive to Roanoke Va. then I jump on I- 81 again to Wytheville VA. Trying Natty Greens English Style IPA from North Carolina. Not bad. ... which was fantastic. We saw the Apollo 11 landing module, touched some moon rock and saw the actual Wright Brothers plane! There were many other highlights which were too many to mention. Considering it was free to enter we couldn't have asked for more. We also popped in briefly to the natural history museum, and looked at the Hope Diamond, the largest in the world. After this we had a healthy lunch of houmous, pretzel pieces and pizza flavoured ...
Denny and I knew we were on the home stretch of our Grand Adventure when we started seeing the vast waving fields of corn in the Shenandoah Valley and the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains. We stopped at our favorite little market in Cross Junction and bought some fresh corn on the cob, tomatoes and cucumbers.
