      ... as the trees lose their foliage and reveal another world hidden behind. There were lots of hills today as I passed through the Catskill mountains. I did encounter a bit of freezing rain, but was through it in about 5 minutes, gratefully.

      WalMart in Martinsburg, WV has a full grocery store so I had a huge salad and giant Anjou pear for supper. I have apples, bananas and another pear for tomorrow. Ah, fine dining on the road!

      The morning was spent at the YMCA in Reston. We both got in fantastic workouts that morning and the facilities were fantastic. I have loved these YMCAs and if we settle somewhere one day I think a membership will be in order. We drove to Winchester, Virginia where we knew there was a good sports bar waiting.       Today was our last day in Washington, before getting the Amtrak to Chicago in the afternoon. First of all just to say that our place to stay with airbnb was really good! We stayed near H Street, and we went to &Pizza and had possibly the most garlicky pizza of my life.       We took a trolley tour this morning - on our way saw my 2 favourite mode of transports . Highlight was a personal tour of the haunted Physicks home -built in 1879
