... being home so far: seeing my parents and my pets, getting to do laundry and have clean clothes, getting to sleep 11 glorious hours in my own bed at home, and getting to eat my mom's cooking. It's good to be home, but part of me will always be missing Spain. This was the best experience of my life and I'm so glad I took advantage of the opportunity. Really, I'm grateful I even had the opportunity in the first place. It's a memory I'll cherish forever!
Today is the day Ashley and I have been waiting for!
This evening around 6 pm, we are flying out of Washington and will be landing in Madrid around 8 am (Madrid time). Hopefully we will be able to catch a few hours of sleep on the flight, even though I'm sure we both will be too excited. There is a 6 hour time difference between home and Madrid, but I'm hoping we will be able to adjust quickly.

... little girl who won a bike wouldn't let go of it the entire rest of the show, so her dad moved them to the edge of the bleachers so she could hold onto it and still watch the show. One other older boy who won a bike was a bit too big for it but he had a younger brother who he gave the bike to. All in all, watching the bike giveaway made me smile and feel better about humanity as a whole. It's amazing how a simple gesture like giving away a bike can radically change a kid. I'm ...
