I am so glad we are doing a lot of walking, as our family is very hospitable and the food is very, very good! Cabbage rolls, cold beetroot soup and a great deal of pastries and cake! So I really need to walk a lot! Skoudas is quite a large town near the Latvian border and there a large number of smaller villages scattered throughout the relatively flat landscape. ... and it was fantastic! After the walk back into town we stopped for a late lunch at a small cafe. It seemed very reasonably priced and we both ordered some salads. Sadly though they were tiny- like side dish for ketchup sized! And so we both left still pretty hungry, although they were tasty.
