    ... us out of the water most of the time, it means our records of 50 throw an catch, 30 volley ball style hits and our bat and ball water record of 76 will probably not be beaten this year. We will have to try and remember them for next year!! Heading home tomorrow, or at least starting out journey, were currently about 1300 miles from home and 1000 from Calais so a good few days of driving ahead of us...the ferry is booked for Friday ...

    ... basically the normal 1st team... The atmosphere was really good considering that majority of the ground was probably full of tourists and they had a fireworks show to kick it all of, not sure if this is something they do at every home game but it's bloody impressive.. The game itself was pretty good, Barcelona dominated and it could have been about 4-0 after 10 minutes but stayed 0-0, eventually Neymar managed to score and the place erupted,15 minutes ...

    ... come in from the kitchen. He spoke limited English, but wanted to go through the menu with us. He was clearly excited about the menu and after hearing what was to come, we perked up. What did follow was a six- or seven-course meal, with each course better than the one before. All of us were simply gushing about the quality of the food as we savored every course. This was, by far, our best meal in Spain, and was on par with the meal we had at Sessente in Lisbon. ...

    ... the true winemaker among them, speaks primarily Catalan and French, having studied his craft in France and spending much of his time there. His brother, who is a banker by day, speaks excellent English, and he did the majority of the translation.     ... along the Mediterranean was a toll road, as in Portugal, it had significantly more traffic. Still, the drivers were incredibly civilized and really respected the stay right/pass left mantra. Driving in both Portugal and Spain just highlighted to me what lousy drivers we are in America. We're absolutely dreadful.
