... D. In one of my pictures you see a statue of a human tower - this is an event that takes place every two years in Tarragona at festivals. It is still pretty hot in Tarragona, but the perfect time to visit the Mediterranean Sea, which is how I spent my Saturday afternoon. ... was ok, but none of my Barnard friends were in it. The next day we went to a center that makes human towers, a strange cultural tradition in Barcelona. We had a fun time making the towers and playing with the little children!

We went to go to the beach at Mar Bella, but as soon as we got there I got violently ill and vomited. BUT i think it was food poisoning because I feel much better now!

So far the week has been tons of fun and I am learning so much!

I left David and Alison after breakfast today and drove a long way down the Spanish Coast to south of Tarragona. I am on a beach site overlooking the med but it's not very sunny! No idea how far I'll get tomorrow towards Mojacar but maybe all the way? We'll have to ...

It was hot and sunny and we sweated a lot - we had to go uphill for a while and then got to stroll through vineyards back to the small village, where we had a lovely lunch of cold meats, cheese, egg, olives and salad (and of course heaps of bread and wine). ... 30 minutes - I felt better after some cold water and sitting under the air conditioning on the bus. We were taken to the monastery of Santa Maria de Poblet. The tour was fantastic - so much to see and learn. We got to look through the whole complex which was both very interesting and beautiful.
