    ... I helped one of the other residents here to build a ramp down onto the brygge and we were reasonably pleased with the result. One of guys here has MS and needs crutch and wheel-chair access.
    It happens every visit, but we are doing the continuous round of coffee and cakes, and I have to say all the weight I lost earlier this year is slowly creeping back on again, even if it is nice to catch-up with everyone. And, the Norwegian thing is to have at least 2 serves of ...

    ... I slept very well.....wandering out of the sack at about 9.45....
    I received a couple of lovely newsy emails from my sisters Kerri and Deb which was great to hear about what's happening at home. Everyone here goes wide-eyed when they hear we come from Australia, as if it's another planet. "But it is so far...."

    ... were reasonably busy with holiday traffic. This was the only downside of the Swedish portion of the route-a fair portion of our riding was on busy roads rather than designated cycling routes as we'd been accustomed to. We gained the impression too from the very old North Sea cycle route signs-often completely faded away, that cycling isn't a huge pastime in Sweden. Nonetheless the route was still pretty spectacular, although a little unnerving at times!

    ... back over a thousand years, and seemed to be quite a good place in our brief visit. We saw a couple of old Viking ships and and a few old merchant boats, and managed to be ready to catch the train in time..... Except... There was a breakdown of some kind so we were bundled into coaches and driven 30 or 40 Kms before being dropped at another station for the trip to Oslo's Gardemoen airport, and then to our hotel for an overnighter before staggering out to catch the 06.30 ...
