    After the late night, we didn't feel like doing anything much. I resorted to doing more washing and playing Yahtzee with Saskia. Mel propped himself up on a rock and read his book. The football got another outing to the park out the front of the hut and we spent the evening comparing snores. All in all, we rested.

    ... of tide in the Oslo Fjord. A semi-circular bridge linked the two halves of the marina and we stopped for mega-icecreams at one of the local shops. To be fair, these were the biggest soft-ice cornets I've ever tried to eat. The kids had sprinkles and chocolate powder and all sorts slapped onto them too. On the downside, we paid about £25 for a round.

    ... in their working life and they had retired to the island about 15 years ago. The lady's parents had met in India as missionaries back in the 30's-she was Swedish, he was German. They moved back to Dresden to have their family but during WW2 it was so awful there that the mother left & brought her young family back to Sweden!
