From Bangkok I took a (very) small plane to the island of Ko Samui. Met a British girl, Kate, on the plane that was also part of the retreat. We made our way to Absolute Sanctuary to begin our 10 days of yoga and meditation with Sarah and Ty Powers. Ko Samui is dry lush and tropical. Seems to be mostly big resorts. The hotel is very beautiful, big …

... soon as we got to the beach front we paused and was like, 'holy ****!'. This beach was packed to the brim! Fluorescent colours everywhere, packed full of body's and the mixture of several different sound systems all blurred into one. We were ******** it! ... Fergus more so. The drama doesn’t quite end there, as once we hopped in a taxi we were taken straight to what transpired to be a corrupt hospital. They put a plaster on Fergus’s head wound…that is literally all they did, before having the cheek to charge us a crazy amount of money, claiming anaesthetic and stitches were used amongst a load of other phantom treatments.

... moon. The one bit of that day that is worth mentioning was when the lads decided to pull a little prank on me. It was mid afternoon, I was sound asleep, not doing anyone any harm to anyone. All of a sudden I was abruptly wrenched from my relaxed state, a blood curdling scream and frantic banging on the window. I've never jumped out bed so quickly, they had well and truly got me. I've banked it though and have a few ideas of revenge. I woke up around tea time, it was ...
