... 300,000,000 inhabit this country. Corn fields, blueberry fields, rich black soil, flat and, although we are in effect riding alongside Lake Michigan, we have only sighted it at St Jo(seph), a smart lakeside ( read seaside) resort -town like the ones Jerry and Maggie showed us and in fact in the same area. We made our way around the Pavillion to the Chase Prominade which was busy with people setting up for the Colour Run which was taking place the next day.
