... the castle the movie one was based on, Alnwick Castle, but it was too far and closed :(

We also went to the British museum which gave the ancient history of the world it seemed except for in England funny enough. Mummies were intact as well as a "I want gum gum, dum dumb" figure (Easter Island figure) from Night at the Museum. There was one exhibit that struck me about the lives of a man and woman whose lives were documented based on the pills they took. It was several ...

There wasn't a ton to do there, it was cold, and the people were - different. At least by comparison to the English! So far everywhere else I go I realize how fortunate I am to say I live in London. It is truly an amazing, beautiful, fun and friendly city. I couldn't have picked a better place to ...

... champion tennis players and others.

Back out into the gardens, and this time we headed for the famous maze, built in 1690 for William III. We decided to go in, and test the theory that if you keep in touch with the left wall (or hedge, in this case) you will always find your way out of a maze. It worked :)

It was getting on to 3.30pm by then, and we'd been at Hampton Court since 10am, so decided to make our way out via the shop, to collect our ...
