    ... into the "hen spa" with the older chickens so they can merge together as soon they will be moved onto another spot on the farm and they need to have one flock instead of two! The poor babies were very freaked out and confused as to why they were getting moved to another house... We did it when they had all gone to bed so they were all perched on their racks and roosting. And they were so damn cute all huddled together!! ...

    ... for it! Lots of boats out on the lake (I assume people were taking advantage of the great weather and going fishing!). We then came back and didn't do much again... Just too hot and we were exhausted from the heat of the day... So once Deb was home we all had a late dinner and now we are all ready for bed! Hopefully it won't be as hot tomorrow as it was today... And tomorrow is my last day on the farm!!! :( I'm really going to miss the beauty and peace of sapsucker ...

    ... started unloading the bales of straw and putting it into water tanks. The purpose of this is to soak the straw for about 6 days so it'll be nice and mushed down! We then collected the weeds again through the asparagus and rhubarb and then Jim starting hauling the wood chips to us and we mulched the entire garden. It didn't take as long as we thought, but it was hard work! It looks amazing now. No more jungle of weeds that are taller than you!! :) it's also a great feeling to have a ...

    ... now! still some more work to be done on it tomorrow but I would say the hardest part is over. For dinner tonight we had what I call an "Emily" dinner. Rice, chick peas and stir fried vegetables! Yum yum, bland food - just the way I like it!! Haha. It was pretty good though. And all that physical labor made me extremely hungry!
