... curious as to why the Subaru was going so fast. We appreciated his warning and reminder that we are indeed not in a hurry. There was some rain and a questionable Google Maps route along country roads but we found our way across the St Croix River and into Wisconsin into Grantsburg, WI where we have stopped at a drive in for ...

Stopped by Dunham Lake Australian Terriers (Rosie's breeder). It was great to see Rosie interact with her pack. She became best of friends with her dad (Jake-#1 AT in the country) and they played, wrestled and ran for hours. Theresa has 8 Aussies and she's very careful to introduce new visitors slowly and correctly. There was a lot of sniffing and positioning, Rosie was one of the pack.

So, then Bob tried again...more treats....then another short ride with Meatball staying in. Bob just paddled around a tiny bit but Meatball stayed put... GOOD BOY!! All in all, not bad for his first try. He could became a kayak dog yet.

Now we are off to Fargo, ND!!

We also explored around the campsite. Our campground is located right on the banks of the St. Croix river. In fact, if you were ...

Work up today to snow!! Sheila got a picture of me with snow on the jacket. We should have headed south, but despite the cold, the Northwood are very amazing beautiful. Sheila and I explored the North Shore of Minnesota from Duluth to Schroeder - about 100 miles. Our first stop was Duluth - at the Duluth Trading Company. Very expensive place.

Next stop was the lighthouse at Two Harbors. The lighthouse is still operating. We couldn't get in the building but we walked ...
