... the market. I keep one hand on my camera and the other one clutching my money. Baclaran isn't a dangerous but the pick pockets are supposed to be the best here. I'm able to find a couple things for Sharon here and looking forward to the fashion show she will put on for me.

The Mall of Asia is only a 5 minute drive away. Uncle Louie was looking forward to checking out the largest mall in the Philippines, so we pick ...

Philippines, Island hopping in paradise!!

... island hopping tour (tour C - definitely recommend), which took us to 5 different islands in the Bacuit Archipelago. Most of these were pure paradise, lovely beaches, the clearest waters we've ever seen, perfect for testing out the new underwater camera that we'd just bought. We didn't want to leave any of these places, if they had hotels we would've stayed there. As part of the tour we were taken to some secret beaches and lagoons that sometimes involved ...

I'm concerned that this is an indicator that I may have psychopathic tendencies. Although, this reaffirms the fact that Amanda Fust should never send me to the store without a list. I apparently will wander around for 45 minutes, buy random things, and head home, regardless of the fact that ...

We made it to the Philippines!

A travel blog entry by kateandalex on Apr 05, 2013

Okay Manila. Flew in on Thursday, April 4th and landed around 830. Cleared immigration easy enough and grabbed a cab from the airport to the hotel. We're staying in an area called Ermita which is pretty seedy but really close to a really nice promenade along the water. Hotel's called The Tune Hotel and the room is great - really clean and new.

Thursday night got dinner at the Irish pub below the hotel. Pretty standard food but ...
