... bus ride for the two of us than we did for a short taxi ride. We spent a wonderful three days relaxing by the pool and beach. Watersports were included so we tried out windsurfing (Niall seemed to have a better knack for it then me) as well as paddle boarding and kayaking. We had actually booked for two days but ended up extending it because we didn't want to leave. It was also great to have a gym again... We really are ...

... hostel we all wanted to warm up, but the cold showers that had been so refreshing the night before weren't great for it and we ended up in trousers for the first time in a while. This didn't last long as we didn't want to be wearing damp trousers while we went out to find supper so the shorts went back on for a little excursion during which I thoroughly enjoyed my first ever Thai green curry. ... longboats come in and out of the harbour.

Yesterday we carried on to Phuket. We had to pass through a police checkpoint and while they had stopped others, they just waved us through. It's very nice. We had dinner with them last night too.

... that I could follow the hockey score whilst we were out haha! Top fan me!! Today is Monday 22nd, and is defining what being a backpacker is all about. I thought I would be heading for Bangkok in order to get my Vietnam visa, yet a spontaneous change of plan means that I'm waiting for a taxi to Phuket airport, so that I can fly to Chiang Mai for a few days first! Chiang Mai (and Pai) come highly recommended & I am excited to see a different environment. JUNGLE IS MASSIVE! Churchy in Phuket ...

On our second day we got up at 7:30am had a buffet breakfast and went for an early swim at the beach.

It was such a lovely day that we all decided to go back to our resort and book a boat tour around Phuket for the afternoon as all we had seen of Phuket so far were the shops.

        It was now 10:30am.

The tour was booked, we were to meet in the foyer at 12pm, we would ...
