    Tuesday 16 June...
    We woke to stormy skies and heavy rain in Phuket Town but braved it for a mile hike up to the view point. We headed up there and enjoyed the view of the grey skies and misty town from atop the viewing platform. Such a shame about the weather today as it would have been a lovely view on a bright day.

    ... settled in and then went for a walk down to the beach. After we came back, had a rest and then decided to go out to find a place for dinner. We ended up at the Patong Novatel for dinner, okay fair. Then caught a taxi back to the centre of town, wandered the night club strip of Bangla Road. Bangla road was a zoo, touts, ladyboys, buskers, "pingpong" bars, etc. Probably Kings Cross equivalent in Sydney. Then home to bed.

    ... a lot of development going on in this area, lots of swanky beautifully designed exclusive villas and new hotels being built - quite a stark contrast to the aluminium shacks up the hillside where locals live and which must be so unbearably hot. It won’t be long before this small Thai village is turned into a high end tourist resort and we were grateful to have discovered this natural slice of paradise before that happens.

    ... hotel with transfers for 800thb, this is a standard price. We actually enjoyed the show, although at the beginning I think I had expectations but soon got rid of them and watched the show for what is it.     ... called to say I love you' it was nice like being reminded she is there with me! I miss her lots!! We then went for dinner I had bolegnaise for dinner and mum had carbonara, it was okay.. Not the best! But dessert was very yummy! Banana fritters and maple syrup! There was a man singing outside whilst we was eating but he was singing Christmas songs!
