... we got back into the car and headed to Tirta Gangga. The water palace was stunning......it was cool compared the temperature everywhere else and it was so serene and peaceful. It was also the first time we had to wear a sarong. This was probably my favourite stopped the day a very very very big highlight! Dinner tonight was at Bali collection I just had a light meal of fish and chips and a fruity cocktail. Was nice but really just fish and ...

... which we are renting, we have an open air shower which shares a space with lovely plants, this space backs onto forest, palm trees and fields, beautiful. We have a comfy living room with a good breeze to keep us cool, chickens run around the front of the house and there is wildlife in abundance. Dragonflies pass by, lizards creep up the walls, colourful birds rest in the tree’s and the sounds of the forest animals are all around, their songs changing as the heat of the day ...

We journeyed on now towards the mother temple, Bisarki Temple. We knew we would be in for harassment once we got here, as everyone had been telling us to be very careful of nasty hawkers. We were told by the driver to only pay 100,000 Br to buy a guide for the temple, so we had to get sarongs first! This place didn't even hire them, so the ...

... in one of the buildings of paintings done in a “miniature” style that is still actively practiced near Ubud. The amount of detail packed into every square inch of the paintings was absolutely phenomenal. We really enjoyed see these paintings and some were internationally exhibited artists as young as twenty years old. These original paintings were for sale and it was unbelievable that the most expensive one was only $2500!
