So we left New Orleans in good spirits (bar the psycho ex girlfriend woman!) and headed towards Austin, Texas. ... A copperhead swam up towards a moss-covered rock, discovering after many failed attempts that it was too slick to climb. Silly snake. He must have exhausted himself and wrapped up beneath a fern for some shade. I scampered along the canyon-side to a good little bouldering spot to tear up my fingers for an hour. Austin, the capital of Texas! Texans are very proud. They are the only state that hangs the state flag at the same level as the American flag.
