Jaisalmer and the Thar ‘Desert’
... lucky though – this particular route is not very busy so we had an entire berth to ourselves, thankgod. There were no windows though; just metal bars to make you feel like you were in prison. ... some more photos. That evening we wondered outside the fort to the old part of town. Here the alleyways a slightly larger with more people and you have to dodge motorbikes as well as cows – Madness! We went to a stunning roof top restaurant (recommended by our guide), and although we thought it was not possible, the city looked even more beautiful as the sun was setting. Another fantastic meal, then a slow walk back, through the buzzing streets to the fort and into our hotel.
