The place looks pretty so deserves some time. From here I will head further south into Slovenia and /or Croatia and promised myself to take it easy as today I have hammering it at a steady 130 km per hour most of the afternoon, as I needed to cover the 780 km distance before it was getting dark. The tower was built in 1914, and has a lift for those lazy people who don't want to climb the 150 stairs to the top. So bike riding in the morning, mountain climbing this afternoon (hmm, probably hill climbing, but who will contradict me!), as well as climbing the stairs of the tower, and then walking down to the town again ...

Instead of Sadov we have chosen a site within easy walking distance of Carlsbad. 'Site' perhaps creates an impression that we are in a grander place than the reality. True, there are toilets - in a shed but nevertheless clean and functional, and there is electricity but the only European socket available has been nabbed by one of the three Netherlands vans we have as neighbours.
