Last night in Hudson...

... about sign language and just delicious food!
Had raw corn on the cob for the first time (that was Tommos idea) and it was pretty good and sweet! Think I like the boiled one still better though, doesn't leave a funny feeling on your teeth as raw corn does!

In Quebec for real this time!

Just a quick update!

Currently in L'Île-Perrot, just outside of Montreal. Got off the train no problems last night a stop early at Dorval before heading to some random family function [not uncommon with BF's family..] before settling in for the night at my host's townhouse with ANOTHER young boy! What is it with me and ...

HOME AT LAST!

... to go downstairs to play with her. Which, I, of course, did. Lyam loves his new home. He didn't cry or anything. He is getting along with Gamine fine. Actually, he finds that black furry thing very peculiar and has not touched her yet. We can't wait until he gets accustomed to everything and sleeps through the night in a fit and nightmare free rest! That will be the day that he will be REALLY home in his head. Because, we know that in his heart he is.

Montreal, Quebec

We quickly visited the South shore of Nova Scotia, the casino once more (which was not kind to us), then jumped on the train again for our next overnight train ride to Montreal. George slept on the top bunk this time and noticed how much more sway is involved when you are closer to the top of the train! Still, it was fun and I was able to finish my book. Arriving in Montreal, we ...

Behind the scenes of a 10-month adventure...

(psst! Thanks to E for sharing her travelblog on this site. After comparing with other sites, this one seemed the most dynamic so I've decided to use it, too!) Nope, I haven't left yet on my BIG adventure, but I thought I'd share some thoughts about planning for this trip. I looked into buying a RTW ('Round The World) ticket, but this didn't suit my needs and is quite costly! I've saved up quite a few aeroplan points so redeemed 53,250 ...

Montreal's a-MAZE-ing underground city

... the train station. Venturing further through the underground, we came upon the Place Ville-Marie Mall, a sophisticated area with lovely boutiques and a wonderful surprise--a Starbucks Coffee Shop! We know what you're thinking; Montreal has a million unique coffee shops, so why would we stop at a Starbucks? Well, if you know the Globetrotters, you know we like Starbucks. We realize it's not necessarily the best and ...

I'm home!

Hi all, Just arrived back in Montreal a couple of hours ago. Yes, the trip is officially over now, and I'm home. I'm totally exhausted now, since it's 4am London time and I've been awake for 24 hours straight, so I'm off to sleep. But I can't wait to tell you guys all about the trip (as if you haven't heard enough from the updates). Talk to you when I wake up!

This is it. The last one. I have now been home for 3 nights now. I've surprised enough people to keep me happy. Today I shaved my "beard" after 6 wks. It feels very weird not to have it.I'm glad to be w/ everyone again. Just hangin' out and stuff. Got no $, tho'. Well, Europe is done. Will probably be talkin about it for wks but that's ok. I look back and I know that I completely loved my trip, besides and because of all that happened.
I heard a ...
