      ... sat on the steps and enjoyed watching the couples dancing. It was a lovely backdrop with the music, the river Spree and the Bode Museum opposite. I would have loved to stay longer but it was really cold and about to rain :(. I wandered out into Alexanderplatz (in the rain!) later and enjoyed the best Wiener Schnitzel I had ever had :).

      ... point, we decided that we had probably had enough of sightseeing for the day, so started to walk back towards Hackesher Markt as it had been recommended for street food. We stopped for a quick drink and by the time we had finished, the market seemed to be packing up.       ... Berlin has surprisingly lots of trees and parks. It's a sad reminder as a lot of the parks used to be No mans land.
      Friday we caught the U-Bahn to Potsdamer Platz which is very modern, full of high rise buildings with interesting architecture. From there we ventured on past the Holocaust Memorial to the Brandenburger Gate where they are very busy setting up stages for Obama's visit next week. Next we travelled on the underground yet again ...
