Our first night in Berlin we went to the Gendermenmarkt Christmas market. It was only around a 15minute walk from out hotel, the NH Berlin Friedrichstrasse. From the main Berlin station the hotel was a little tricky to find, as when we got on the train it did not go, however they made an announcement in German- some other travelers got off, some stayed on. We did not know what the announcement said, so just waited and it left 5 minutes later. The hotel was ...

Even though I'm pretty tired now, I can enthusiastically attack the next stage of my journey!

    Brace yourself! Hungary!

... and gave me a basic walk-through. There was another room that had a few people in it and a third room that would be filled tomorrow. This meant that four of us were sharing a bathroom and more would be sharing the next night which I was annoyed by. My host wasn't there and probably wouldn't show up for my entire visit. The internet was slow but worked. ...
