    ... as tight as a camel's backside in a sandstorm I continued to drink the concoction.     ... His parents greeted us outside with heartfelt hugs and warm exchanges, this being the first time we'd ever met after years of hearing about one another.     ... that sounded from the cattle that had gathered in the field beneath our balcony. Seems like cows wake as early as roosters.

    At breakfast, we learned from Marjana and her son Miha that they have 20 cows and 20 pigs. They keep them for milk and meat for the family and tourists who stay with them throughout the year. From the cow's milk, they make butter, clotted cheese and milk. The cows are milked twice daily.

    ... and sunny, it was a bit of a trek, but well worth the effort.
    After I got back to Bled, I went for a walk around the lake in the gathering dusk. It was another pretty walk, with changing views of the island and castle.
    That night, in our rather lovely hotel, Kayla and I slept with the window open to let in the fresh, peaceful country air - no noisy traffic here!
