My tour today is to an area called La Restinga which is a National Park.

115,000 acres of natural canals with a canopy of mangroves trees. A forest on water that is a haven for pelicans, white herons, cormorants, hawks and white Ibis.

      We travelled in ...

Slept a bit better with the a/c on though had to switch off
in the middle of the night – the parrot and nearby cocks (or was it just the
parrot imitating some?) weren’t too disturbing.

Coffee’d up (strong but not good) got an early start to
playa El Caribe – nice, quiet and not too hot but no traffic so had to take a

have to shop around otherwise you’re paying 15bsf for ***** lite beer when you
      could be ...

proportion of alcohol are “premium”! The Polar is supposedly pilsner style and
has zero flavour, the Solera a bit more but still not wonderful – read
somewhere Polar do a dark one so I am sure it will be my mission to try and find
      one!

I have a penchant for wood-fired pizza so was looking

... driver rang him and he returned to check me in – if the taxi driver had not left before it became apparent quite how drunk he was, I might have left with him and got alternative lodgings.

Said owner then proceeded to slur his way slowly and inefficiently through as much of the spiel as he could muster. He did invite me to join him back at the bar and I declined.

Posada Margarita has got rave reviews on various ...
