          ... paper with a typed message in English. “SO SORRY, YOU’RE WRONG! This small village is called Rothenbuerg, but it’s not Rothenburg ob der Tauber. You’ve got to go back to Hof, then to Neurenburg, then to Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Have a good trip!!!”

          ... much in awe as MJ and I were (even though we have been before). There is something magical about Rothenburg. Even found the puppet show theatre where we attended with our gang so many years ago (the puckfest weekend - who could forget).

          Another Bavarian lunch with wine or beer and soup, bratwurst with sauerkraut and strudel for dessert. It never really gets old.

          ... Gasthof was as downtown as possible.

          The mood was Christmas as it was chilly and the typical German overcast day. The decorations about town were Christmas colors. We entered many shops, especially devoted to Christmas. The ornaments were unfortunately outrageously expensive or likely made in China. Nonetheless, we enjoyed the town.

          ... and pork fillet. Tonight we joined the Night Watchman's Walk which is held every night at 8pm. Looking around we couldn't imagine how so many people could be catered for but it was well done. He has a good loud voice and it is a very quiet town so he is easily heard. When he stops he stands up on something high so everyone can see him. It was fun walking the dark streets and listening to the history of Rothenburg......very ...
