It has been many years since we’ve traveled with our kids on a family vacation. Now we are on a new adventure with our kids who are adults and their spouses and our granddaughters. Jeff got us a 3 bedroom condo to call home for the next 7 days. Where will each day take us? ...

We delayed our departure the next morning until 9 a.m. when Campland could provide us with propane service. That gave us time to perambulate around the park, watch the water fowl on Mission Bay and visit with some of our “Over the Hill Gang” neighbors. We got a transfer over to Seaworld first thing this morning, the first attraction that we went to see was shamu, the killer whale what we had come to San Diego for in the first place, and what an animal! So beautiful, talented and very large! We also saw, dolphins, pilot whales, sting ray, sharks, polar bears, walrus, seals and even dogs and cats, oh and a pig! We saw a few shows, some of which are included in the pictures, the most spectacular performance ...

We managed to have a pretty uneventful flight over to LA and even got in some sleep (yay!). After organising our bags Wayne found his shuttle and I found my bus to the train station. The train left about 5mins after I got on it and I had a relaxing ride down to Solana Beach where Tim, Kathy and Brayden were waiting to take me back to their place. On Tuesday Kathy took me to open a bank account and sort out my SIM card. Once we had done that ...

... San Diego, back to the much cooler coastal weather!

We checked into our lovely beachside resort in San Diego and chilled out along the beach. We drove up to La Jolla for dinner and watched the last of our series of Pacific Coast sunset on the beach there... it was magical!
