... and family photos. For some photos, the tour guide held the leaves under the camera, forcing the giraffe to put it's head between the couple/family as she reached for the leaves - the photos looked awesome! She also kept trying to steal the leaves from the bucket. What a character! After this amazing experience, we carried on our journey. We then came across a mother and baby rhino, so the van carefully approached and pulled up... No other tour that ...

          San Diego

A travel blog entry by analegge on Oct 09, 2014

We went shopping today. Got up very late and drove to Las Americas outlets right on the border with Tijuana just over the fence. Bought heaps and spent almost the entire afternoon there. The climate pleasant at 23 degrees. In the evening we drove the short distance to The Old Town and had disappointing Mexican meal in a lovely garden. ...

... by the Grand Canyon on a sunny morning.
For several years, my friend Pat Stark has raved about his annual Grand Canyon trips and how much he looks forward to future ones. I was a newcomer accompanied by experienced hikers. One of the group, Jim Hagan, was fresh off the completion of a 2650 mile Pacific Coast Trail trek that ended in October. Pat Stark has hiked these trails 18 times and ...

Don't think I can ever get enough of Seaworld!!! And extra treat was I got to go with Sam (another one of my friends form Kesmarc! Seems weird that a year ago she was visiting me in England!) We headed straight to Atlantis which was brilliant again! Then to my favourite exhibit, the Arctic, with polar bears, walruses and my second favourite marine animal (first being manatees, which I was very disappointed to hear that they don't have any left at San Diego be use they ...
