We took the 6:15pm bus from Fira to OI, had dinner at a local restaurant recommended by Anthony, our hotel manager. We unloaded everything there and then went out to look for somewhere to eat dinner. We found a quirky little kebab restaurant called Quick Pita and shared a platter of roast meat, pita bread, chips and ...

... of having professional photography taken among the unique and beautiful backdrop of blue-domed buildings and sunsets. This dream came true. We found a wonderful photographer who made this happen and took some of the most amazing photographs I could have asked for. He took my partner Josh and I to the black beach to walk along the shore, a beautiful blue-domed church, and to Oia, the city on the island with the best sunset views. When our photographs were ...

Our first destination was Akrotiri. It is an archeological site of a Minoan Bronze Age settlement. Many beautiful frescos were found here and they used a style of writing called Linear A which was also found in Crete. Paintings of vervet monkeys were found on Santorini hinting that perhaps these animals lived here all those years ago.
