... Communications centre which is the department he works in. I apologise if I bore you with loads of details but both me and Soph found this fascinating. From this space ship of a hub they monitor everything that is happening around the track on nearly hundred computer screens. They have guys who broadcast all of the sound such as the national anthems, others who change the colour of the circuit to make the track and the weather appear brighter ...

Jerry hurt his left leg...so we decided early not to go to the race todayr this morning. So we decided not to go to the race and have him stay quiet and ice it all day. It just seemed stupid to try and go since it is so far away and if his leg got worse, we were stuck in a foreign country at a racetrack with thousands of people and no options. Fortunately, Sophie had decided to buy a ...

... was cool with occasional bursts of sun for the rest of the day. We thoroughly enjoyed the day...having a brat for lunch ( with the standard dinner roll) and a magnum bar late in the day. I took several walks but Jerry's calf was increasingly bothering him. It was a brutal walk for him back to the shuttle. The place was jammed and by the end of the day, the crowd was rowdy and drunk so a bit intimidating. We had a funny discussion waiting for the shuttle ...

... there and it was really nice to eat our pack up whilst looking down over the city. We sat in a lovely, lush green area for a while before we decided to go for a walk around, during which we came across several clock towers and an old artillery store. Later in the day we took the long walk back down to the town where we found a massive Formula 1 stand in which they had cars on display and big screens to show the race over the weekend. Of course ...
