This was our first tour of the day. It was chilly so the park ranger let us stay in the ranger office until the tour started. I had never been to President Van Buren's home before and I was impressed by the restoration, attention to details and all the information given by our guide. Emma and I had ...

We looked for possible campsite but everything was shut down for RV's like us.

We continued south along Hwy 7 then crossed over Into eastern upstate New York to catch the Taconic Trail just ...

We had a great breakfast on Charles Street at a place called Paramount. I had Huervos Rancheros which was awesome (read with american accent). This place just got it right and had a massive queue out the door. What I liked most was the strict seat enforcement policy. There was a big sign saying that you are not allowed to sit until ...

... splendid sunshine, a quiet Sunday morning with shops mainly open for student and visitor trade. We stopped off in a student coffee house where our age probably trebled the average, but no-one seemed too concerned by our alien presence.
Onwards down the Mohawk Trail towards North Adams and the real start of the Trail. We stopped off briefly at our motel and managed to use Facetime to chat with Cate and Lois, which perked up the ...
