    Patty here: I lost four pounds in four miles in the humidity during our hike yesterday, just sweated it off! Thank goodness for the incredible beauty and views, as well as the running commentary of my beloved partner and his fun sister Annie, who grew up in humid Florida and Ohio and so are used to it. Lisa chose such a lively venue for our fish dinner last night - it reminded me of our Phil's in Moss Landing. Great day!

    ... 20am (sorry Dad. I owe you a cocktail. Or two. And some fudge).

    A stressful afternoon to say the least trying to work out if I was actually booked on the flight (the link BA sent me was acting up). But after 3 phone calls to BA (all helpful, last guy most of all) everything was sorted. So now I have my boarding pass printed and my limo voucher (taxi...) printed. All good to go.

    The researchers lunch was great as ever. Had a good chat with ...

    ... for this adventure, which I think is quite nice. Just go with the flow and all that. Before I sleep I must check which metros I need to catch to Penn Station. I will be walking back to Grand Central on Sunday, but I think an early start calls for the subway.

    On the other hand, Lyndhurst, being a proper mansion, had a lot to see - both in terms of space and objects.
