Well I'm pretty much recovered now. We decided not to go snorkeling with the Canadians yesterday morning, it was overcast and dull and when we met them later that day it turns out they didn't go either. Instead we decided to rent a moped for the day and see some of Ko Lanta. The roads are good and the traffic was light so it was nice day for it....

We wake up today with no ready cash but quite a few travellers cheques only to find that the money exchange at the resort is closed as its off-peak season. Somehow our original plan to get a taxi to the main town on the island falls by the wayside and we end up deciding to walk to the nearest ATM which I'm pretty sure is not that far. I'm wrong....
