... br> The decor in 'The Beach' however is pretty spectacular with a shark tank floating above the bar, and a 10ft long (complete guess!) shark prowling the potential food that had walked in that night. N.B. Sometimes the bar staff dress as Johnny Depp. Wink, wink.

Aloha Bar is in a basesment bar and sings a mix of R'n'B anthems and local Malaysian songs to the many tourists attracted here.

Yesterday we busied ourselves in the area southwest of where we are staying. It has a few attractions such as the Islamic art museum and the planetarium, as well as the old train station and a very large mosque where we couldn't get in because we aren't muslims. ... We made many new friends whilst sitting on the plane in Penang, whilst they re-fueled it. One even teaching the kids some Chinese and treating them to lolly snakes. We managed to ring Australia to try and get a message to Scott, Paul's brother, who was waiting to meet us at Ho Chi Minh airport.

We were finally flown back to Kuala Lumpur, only to spend the next 2 hours trying to find out what AirAsia were going to ...

... cards in case I got to the front of the queue and couldn't pay. Finding an ATM in a shopping centre had never been as difficult. When I returned to the queue it had grown substantially. Soon enough it was my turn to speak to the guy with the clipboard who gave me a piece of paper with the number of tickets I needed. We then had to queue for the actual ticket. I managed to get a ticket for the 9:15am time slot which meant I only had to wait 5 more minutes to enter ...
