... for the day was a scheduled elbow rub with Captain Hans Mateboer at 1100. If there's one good thing about these must do items it is that you can opt out, which is precisely what we did. However later at dinner with the folks from Kansas, we found out that the captain' special invitation had included a gift, a Dutch Delft Blue tile. ... as it was just a large urban jungle cesspit. With the help of a taxi driver who took us to a few bus companies we found a bus that would leave the same evening to Rantepao in Tana Toraja. About 8 hours north of Macassar in the highlands. Tickets bought we now had the rest of the day to see the sites of Macassar.
