Getting off the plane was probably one of the most confusing parts of our trip thus far. The Munich airport is very confusing and we circled up flights of stairs and down hallway upon hallway and ended up breezing through customs and ending up out where you first enter the airport. We didn't have boarding passes for this flight because they were unable to print them for us in Halifax, so we needed to find the correct desk ...

... the interesting part is this - Ludwig was a royal recluse. He didn't have a wife and didn't produce an heir. He wanted to be alone most of the time and his favourite thing to do was read books. He would read one full book per day and he could speak nine languages. He also designed and decorated his palaces and was his own architect. The 36 C temperature plus humidity along with the dust from roads was so much easier to handle when there wasn't any hair to deal with. It was also symbolic for me ... I unplugged from work. Nothing special other than reasonable rate

Quite a way from main Munich attractions, but reasonable cost to stay if travelling out of Munich following day with no real need to see the city. If travelling by car then distance is not really a problem. Wi-fi, parking and breakfast included in the rate. Rooms are ok.
