Nothing special other than reasonable rate

Quite a way from main Munich attractions, but reasonable cost to stay if travelling out of Munich following day with no real need to see the city. If travelling by car then distance is not really a problem. Wi-fi, parking and breakfast included in the rate. Rooms are ok.

A Day to Tour the City of Munich

Today was our first day in Munich, the place near the monks. When it was originally established (as a true city) in 1080 it was literally that, a place near where the monks lived. It still remains very catholic today. We went on another Sandeman's walking tour which talked a lot about the history, Hitler and was a lot more standing around than seeing stuff in Nick's opinion. Before the tour we stopped for lunch which was a mistake on our part. Vicky ...

... to work. We found a great little cafe.. After Coffee, Cereal and a few Croissants with Nutella later, we were back out and about taking in the sights of Munich old town. Wasn't a lot to see on out limited time, but nice buildings and parks, where Dan and I relived our days as BMX bandits, showing off doings skid slides and bunny hops. A local female teacher was quite amused, when Dan almost lost it, but held it together as if it was all part of the trick..Hilarious.. ...

Crazy Oktoberfest Day 2

Today is our second day at Oktoberfest and already Rox and I feel like we’ve been here a week. Such a brutal festival on the body and to be honest our preparation for an event of this kind wasn’t the best. We started the weekend behind the 8 ball having not slept for about 30 hours from our flight from New York and embarking on a huge day of partying and beer drinking immediately after. Having said that we had a ball yesterday and loved ...

Before I came to Europe, my mom told me that Europe trains always leave on time and never arrive late. Which I thought to myself, perfect! I am a rather punctual person, I think Europe is good for me! Well... I have yet to be on a train that has left on time and that is not late. Hopefully this is the case as it is 9:39 right now. It takes 9 minutes to the next station, and my connecting train leaves at 9:47. You do the math. But if trains keep leaving late, then I should, theoritcally, ...

Oktoberfest-Round 2!

... perfect combo. We tried to find a table at Hippodrom, hoping people passed out drunk by then (like we did the day before), but to no avail. We went tent hopping and finally were helped by the drinking gods once again and found a seat right in the middle of the tent (unheard of and only for the Germans) in Augustiner. It was awkward at first (I had drunks smashed on both sides of me), but eventually it turned into an amazingly fun party! Both of the groups near ...
