... slow motion and nothing you can do to help. There are these poles in the middle of the trail to prevent cars from driving on the trails and someone ran smack into it and flipped over the bike. She ended up being fine other than a cut chin and a big fright. Glad I brought the spray I was given to for my knee so I can be of a bit of help. She was a trooper and got back on and we continued the ride. Had nice conversation with fellow bikers as we traveled through this nice town. ...

... Lifted bike over fence and ran across the A20 to cycle along lorries towards Dover. Suddenly Jonathan overtook and pulled over 1/2 mile down the road. An hour later he'd parked up his car, met me at Dover harbour. On the way onto the ferry meet young Swedish guy who is travelling around the world on his bike, taking three years. What a life, eh?

... for a moment before heading out to my favorite part of our Bruges visit- the Half Moon Brewery and the Bierbrasserie Cambrinus. Brouwerij De Halve Maan is definitely a must for anyone visiting Bruges. Individual beer bottles line the top of the brewery and sunlight fills the room through big, bay windows.
