... slope and an odd series of caves that didn't seem to jive with the rest of their surroundings. It soon became evident that they were a function of a long-running aqueduct that ran many feet above the river itself. We later learned that the aqueduct provided most of the water for the nearby town of Konitsa though since the water was running fast and deep it didn't necessarily seem necessary for there to be an aqueduct at that location.

The conclusion of the hike had us climbing the same trail we had descended of course and Lynn and I took our pulses to see how we were faring.
