... an hour before us so we sent her into the garden to pick nanking cherries and she was very happy.

When mom and I finally arrived at Rimbey, we pitched in and helped pick raspberries. We picked most of one side of the raspberry bushes and the bucket was full. So many berries, so little time.

I returned to Ponoka to spend the night at Julie's home so I could catch up with. Julie before leaving the area.

... the local war memorial. Uncle Bruce died in a plane crash during WWII but fortunately that happened after he gave life to my cousin Ken Fernie. The cenotaph is surrounded by poppies and was quite lovely. I sat on the corner to eat my lunch and shared a moment in their memory.

... system that was causing the excessive backfiring, which delayed my pickup date to Saturday as the shop had to wait for parts so Julie returned me to Rimbey as she was leaving on holidays. My mom drove me back to the repair shop on Saturday to pick up my bike. I showed her a few trikes on the lot. She was impressed with the number of trikes and all the different styles.

... driving around - including past the house where I grew up the elementary school I attended.
Also went to an indoor farmer's market at the historical Medalta Potteries (Medicine Hat has good quality clay as well as cheap natural gas) - there were about 12 vendors including a local green house with their lovely fresh and incredibly clean produce - we had buffalo burgers with potato and green salad but there was also the choice of pizza from a 'food truck' which has a woodfired ...
