Before leaving Rimbey, I went on a shopping quest for the best fruit fly catcher on the market. I found a kit with a jar that has a tube through it. There is a hole for the fruit flies to get in and one hopes they don't find their way out. There is a lure that looks like a tea bag, but smells a lot like red wine. ... edging around the garden and tidying in general. We went out for supper as it was seniors night at the Rimbey hotel. I had salad with liver and onions, something I never cook for myself. The salad was really crispy and delicious and I enjoyed it immensely. I think it is so delicious because the lettuce is kept in cold water and becomes super moist and crunchy, when fresh. The liver was a bit dry, but had a nice flavour.

... The city was very quiet. THEN! we discovered everyone. They were at what I think was the Worlds Largest Multicultural food festival. The place was PACKED! ... came, had them slow down, then pulled in behind them to pass the bear. I stopped at the Saskatchewan River Crossing for lunch ($11 for a hot dog!), then turned east on Hwy 11.
