... rooms. It has a zoo of sorts in the front yard with deer, foxes, raccoons and a bobcat in cages. Possibly more but we'll be able to tell in the morning when we have light. The hotel doesn't have running water right now but it does have a few nails popping out of the ground and things you'd expect to see in a Russian grandma's house or something. Immersion into Russian life on the first night! What more could you ask ...
... Mr Narabaev, was in the area which meant that police presence was overwhelming. Everybody was checked and rechecked about every 100 meters so we didn't get very far. Even driving around in the car was becoming a real hassle as the policemen would always find something wrong and attempted some sort of a scheme for some money.
